WELCOME TO FESTIVAL OF FIBRES 2025
We are proud to present a ‘new look’ in the education programme which we think will excite you – the chance to experience and interact with well-known overseas tutors through Zoom presentations and an interactive workshop. The rest of our education programme is extensive and covers a wide range of in-person workshops across the range of fibre interests. We will be presenting the national exhibition, the national fashion show, a festival challenge, and traders. There will also be displays from other groups for our enjoyment, and of course, festivals always give the opportunity for you to meet up with friends from all over New Zealand. A key feature of this festival is that all activities, including some accommodation options, will be at one location – Rangi Ruru Girls’ School in Merivale, Christchurch, with close access to local motels, cafés and a shopping mall. Access from the airport and motorways is easy without the need to travel though the central city. We will arrange for food trucks to be on site for light lunches and coffee.
Core Planning Group: Catherine Jane, Margaret Logan, Christine Philpott, Jo Woolhouse, Wendy Gibbs and Wilson Henderson (Coordinator).
